Department of Economics, Social Studies, Applied Mathematics and Statistics

The University of Turin, following also the significant input of the School of Management and Economics, has renewed the annual "Campus" license for the Stata/SE statistical software.

STATA is a complete statistical software package whose features can meet the needs of a wide range of academic and professional users, in subjects such as economics, sociology, political science, biomedicine, psychology, biostatistics, epidemiology, and others.

The Stata package can be used by professors and students of the University; it is possible to use the software both on office computers and on personal devices.

The software is the most recent version and it will be valid for one year.

To obtain the license, students and teachers can:

• open a ticket on the University Information Systems Service Desk at this link (specifying whether you need the software version for Mac, Windows, or Linux)
• send a request email to the ICT team of the hub at ict.economiamanagement@unito.it

In order to avoid the overflow of the dedicated mailbox, we kindly ask you not to forward any license expiration warning messages.

The license is reserved exclusively for teaching and research purposes and will also be installed in all the IT labs of the Department.

A brief and useful introduction to the use of the software is available in the Getting Started with Stata (available for Windows, Mac, and Linux). On the StataCorp Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/statacorp) it will be possible to find several tutorials on how to perform different tasks with Stata, on subjects such as biostatistics, econometrics, and statistics.
