Department of Economics, Social Studies, Applied Mathematics and Statistics

The Department of Economics, Social Studies, Applied Mathematics and Statistics (ESOMAS) was the winner of the five-year funding (2023-2027) of the Departments of Excellence of Italian Universities.

The funding, awarded by the MUR on a competitive basis, is aimed at strengthening and enhancing research excellence, with investments in human capital, infrastructures and highly qualified educational activities.

For ESOMAS this is an important confirmation considering that the department had also won a similar funding in the previous five-year period (2018-2022).

The list of the 180 Departments, that have been awarded the five-year funding fund (2023-2027) of the Departments of Excellence of Italian Universities, has been announced by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) on the website.

Together with the ESOMAS Department, 7 other UniTO Departments obtained funding: Chemistry, Molecular Biotechnology and Health Sciences, Clinical and Biological Sciences, Oncology, “Rita Levi Montalcini” Neurosciences, Historical Studies and Law.
