Lecture with Dr Mariya Shcherbyna: "The Imperative of Gender-Specific Approaches in Understanding Displaced Ukrainian Women Scientists in the EU"

On April 21, 2026, at 2 PM in Classroom Chianale, Dr Mariya Shcherbyna will deliver a lecture titled "The Imperative of Gender-Specific Approaches in Understanding Displaced Ukrainian Women Scientists in the EU".
Dr Mariya Shcherbyna is a JTWIA research fellow in 2023, 2024 and 2025 in gender studies at the Department of Management and Production Engineering (DIGEP) at the Politecnico di Torino and member of Ukraine’s Ministry of Education Anti-Discrimination Commission. In 2023, she was awarded funding for her research project, Women in STEM (Win-STEM), thanks to Just the Woman I am. The project focuses on studying women’s careers in scientific and technological fields and on promoting gender inclusion in STEM pathways.
