The Department’s Professors belong to multiple scientific sectors, corresponding to the cores of the Department: the economic area, the geographical area, the linguistic area, the mathematical-statistical area, the sociological area, the historical area, the business area and legal area.
The main strength points of the Department on the workforce point of view are:
- the presence within the Department of well-cohesive research groups with a "critical mass" sufficient to stimulate scientific productivity (e.g., applied microeconomics, finance and statistics);
- the credibility on the international front achieved through the recruitment in recent years of researchers with outstanding scientific curricula from outside the Turin University, and through the scientific production with international visibility of numerous professors of the Department.
