Public engagement
Public Engagement activities are divided between personal and institutional.
The Department praises extensive dissemination activities in oral form at cultural associations (CentroScienza Association, ESOF, Circolo dei Lettori), institutions for continuing education (University of the Third Age), high schools (a network of high schools involved in the facilitation project of access to STEM and economic subjects for middle schoolgirls), but also conferences and round tables on topical economic and political issues (Biennale Democrazia) and it is at the forefront in the organization of events with a strong impact for the territory such as the International Festival of Economy.
To these are added dissemination activities in written form, for example through publication of articles and editorials on national media, in paper or electronic format. In particular, we point out the presence of numerous editorials signed by professors of the Department on "La Stampa", "Il Sole 24 ore", and on sites of great impact and diffusion such as "LaVoce.info".

The ESOMAS Department together with SAA - School of Management and the Piemonte Lavoro Agency, the instrumental body of the Piedmont Region that coordinates the 31 Piedmont’s employment centres, designed, in the academic year 2021-2022, two training opportunities for 134 newly hired young people with training and work contracts.
The Master in "Services and Active Labor Policies" and the Professional Development University Course in "Active Labor Policies: orientation processes and support for work placement" respond to the need of the Piemonte Lavoro Agency to accompany the preparation of the staff hired with the profiles of Labor Policy Specialist and Employment Service Technician to carry out their role within the Employment Centres.
The initiative, which is part of the plan to strengthen the Employment Centres and the recent Employability Guarantee Program (GOL), was presented during the kick-off event "Next Generation EU: what role for active labor policies and employment systems?" As regards to the institutional activities, two main Public Engagement activities have been identified:
- video clips for the dissemination of the contents of one's research;
- guest lectures open to all, where guests from outside the university world are invited to tell how the skills acquired over the years of university training are put into practice.
Both activities are available on this website and on the Department's social channels.
Institutional activities
The ESOMAS Department organizes institutional activities aimed at disseminating the research topics of our members (ESOMAS research video clips) and through a Guest Lectures program that sees professionals and scholars as protagonists hosted within our courses to tell in actual fact how to put in practice the skills acquired while studying in the real world.
Guest Lectures are open to everyone.
Both initiatives are recorded and made available on the dedicated pages, on the YouTube channel and on the Department's Facebook page.
